Welcome

Mrs Emma Wilks               Mr Chris Deeks

Co-Principal                      Co-Principal

It is our pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to you and we hope that you will find all the necessary information that you require about our school and our unique approach to education. The High School opened in September 2012 and we have now reached the stage in our development where we have 550 pupils in years 7-11. Our sixth form largely comprises our own students, though we do also benefit from students joining our sixth form from other schools. In total, therefore, we have approximately 660 pupils that benefit from our virtues-led approach to education that nurtures both the minds and hearts of our pupils.

  • Mental Health Awareness Week This week we are fostering open conversations amongst our students about mental health. While mental health challenges can often be invisible, it is vital to de-stigmatize reaching out for help and support for mental health challenges; understanding that mental health is just as important as our physical health. At Nishkam Schools, our students' mental health is a top priority. We encourage students to reach out to their teachers if they are facing mental health challenges so that we can best support them.

  • Democracy and School Elections As we enter election week, students are discussing the role of democracy in our British Values. Students are also reflecting on the virtues of reliability, trust, and commitment.
