Dr Chris Hewer

Dr Chris Hewer comes from a background in Christian theology, education, Islamic studies and inter-faith studies and has worked in the field of Muslims in Britain and Christian-Muslim relations since 1986, first at the Centre for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations at Selly Oak in Birmingham and from 1999 to 2005, as the Adviser on Inter-Faith Relations to the Bishop of Birmingham. From 2006-2010, he was the St Ethelburga Fellow in Christian-Muslim Relations inLondon, with a brief to deliver adult popular education courses, study days and talks around Greater London.  His current work is to teach study days and residential courses, to develop written and electronic resources and to be available for consultation.

 

Dr Sue Robinson

Experience as a former head teacher and National Leader of Education and now Regional Director of the Elliot Foundation, a Multi Academy Trust and Associate for the National College for School Leadership has led to a deep understanding of education. My roles combined with an award winning PhD and various publications including a book on the theme of leadership and educational policy and research with the University of Warwick, enables me to work in practitioner, academic and policy spheres. 

Excellent leadership, partnership and collaborative skills were identified by Ofsted 2009 and in evaluations of my role as a National Leader of Education from 2007-2012 and current work. An ability to empower and challenge others maintaining high expectations allied to effective interpersonal skills and a strong drive to succeed enables me to complete projects successfully working with schools and regional and national agencies.

 

Travis Latham

Executive Principal of Shireland Hall and George Betts Primary Academies both graded as Good in their latest Ofsted inspection. Travis started at Shireland Hall in 2006 as Head Teacher and then supported George Betts for the Local Authority.  The schools hard federated in November 2011 and George Betts moved from Inadequate in March 2012 to Good in June 2013.  As part of The Elliot Foundation Travis is responsible for School Improvement for the 8 West Midlands Academies.  Travis is beginning work for Serco as an Additional Inspector.
