Within school we use photographs and digital film for a number of reasons. The main purpose is to celebrate the success of pupils and their achievements. Occasionally, we may take photographs/film footage of the children at our school. We use these images as part of our school displays and sometimes in other printed publications; for example, journals and newsletters. We will also use them on our school website and social media sites.
Your child’s identification will not be disclosed unless the photograph is used to celebrate individual success, in which case we will use your child’s first name only.
If we use photographs of individual pupils, we will not use the name of that child in the accompanying text or photo caption. If we name a pupil in the text, we will not use a photograph of that child to accompany the article.
From time to time, our school may be visited by the media who will take photographs or digital footage of a high-profile event. Children may appear in these images, which will sometimes be published in local or national newspapers.
In order to comply with Data Protection Law, explicit consent is required for each area we use the images/digital footage for. Please answer the questions below, then sign and date the form where shown and return the completed form to the school.
If you need clarification or are concerned about the use of your child’s image please contact the school in the first instance.
You may withdraw your consent or amend the options you have selected at any time. To do this please write to Nishkam School West London, 152 Syon Lane, Isleworth, TW7 5PN or email: enquiries.NSWL@nishkamschools.org
