Nursery Curriculum

At Akaal Primary Nursery, our curriculum is designed to provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where every child is lovingly supported to flourish in body, mind, heart, and spirit. We recognise early childhood as a sacred and formative time, where seeds of character, wonder, and compassion are gently sown.

Our approach nurtures the whole child—offering not only academic foundations but also spiritual nourishment through love, care, and a sense of connectedness. Children are encouraged to grow in confidence, kindness, and purpose as they begin to understand their place in the world.

Our curriculum includes:

  • Play-based learning: Children learn naturally through play. Our activities spark curiosity and imagination, helping children explore the world with joy and confidence.
  • Language and literacy development: Through stories, songs, and shared conversations, children build vocabulary and develop the confidence to express themselves and connect with others.
  • Mathematical thinking: Early mathematical ideas—like counting, sorting, and recognising patterns—are introduced through fun, practical experiences.
  • Creative expression: Art, music, and movement are woven into daily life, giving children space to express their thoughts and feelings in joyful, creative ways.
  • Social and emotional growth: We help children develop empathy, resilience, and inner calm. Through supportive relationships and gentle routines, children learn to navigate emotions, build friendships, and feel secure.

Every aspect of our curriculum is infused with warmth, respect, and love—supporting children not just to learn, but to blossom into kind, thoughtful individuals with a strong sense of self and a connection to something greater.
