Registration and circle time welcome activities

We welcome our children each day with songs, rhymes, and interactive learning. We explore the weather, the days of the week, and talk through a visual timetable to help them feel settled and prepared. All activities are themed around topics the children love, making learning meaningful, engaging, and joyful right from the start.

Phonics

Our children are split into two groups, 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds, so that learning can be tailored to their developmental stage. They begin developing early phonics skills to support their readiness for school. Learning is play-based and immersive, with a strong focus on listening and tuning into the sounds around us as a foundation for early reading.

Continuous Provision- Indoors/Outdoors

Learning through play is at the heart of everything we do in preschool. We follow a topic-based approach, while also responding to the children’s interests to keep learning meaningful and engaging. Children can explore both indoors and outdoors, with weekly sessions that include Forest School, Cooking, Yoga, and Physical Exercise—all designed to support their development in a holistic and fun way.

Maths

Maths time is all about exploring new concepts such as number recognition and developing the skills that deepen a child’s mathematical thinking. All sessions are practical and exploratory, designed to capture their attention and ignite their curiosity. By making learning hands-on and engaging, we help children build a strong foundation in early maths through play and discovery.

Story and home time routines

Exploring early language through stories read and shared by adults is a crucial and much-loved part of the day. Children also enjoy singing, and listening in small groups, helping them to develop their language, attention, and early literacy skills in a calm and engaging environment. Children will learn a wide range of familiar rhymes and songs, which will be regularly shared and celebrated throughout their time with us.

Lunch

Children will have the choice of a hot, pure vegetarian meal each day. This important social time is shared with their peers and helps to encourage the development of a healthy relationship with food.

Extended hours are available to support working families. During this time, children can stay at school, accessing a range of activities and enjoying a small snack to keep them going until family dinner time.
