National offer day information for Reception cohort September 2026
From Thursday, 16th April 2026, Wolverhampton residents can find out the allocated school for Reception Year in September 2026.
If you applied online to commence primary education in September 2026 the web portal is available from 16th April 2026 in order to view the allocation made. You will receive an email confirming the allocation.
The portal can be accessed by clicking on this link and you will also receive an email confirming the allocation.
The deadline for applying for a Reception Year place for September 2026 was 15th January 2026.
Waiting list
The waiting list will move up and down as offers are accepted or declined. If your first preference was Nishkam Primary School Wolverhampton and you were not offered a place you will automatically be on the waiting list until the 31st December 2026. Please note we do not give out waiting list position information as it can change on a daily basis. The waiting list will be ranked only when a place becomes available using the over-subscription criteria. If you would like to join the waiting list please contact the school to register your interest. The local authority will need to be informed and their paperwork completed, Should you be applying for a faith place, then a Supplementary Information Form should be submitted, for more guidance on the type of application please visit: https://www.nishkamschooltrust.org/npsw/page/?title=How+to+Apply&pid=355. The waiting list is held in accordance with the admission criteria of the school, not in order of applications received.
Your right to appeal
If your child has not been offered a place at Nishkam Primary School Wolverhampton, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel.
You can only lodge an appeal if you have;
- received notification that the local authority have not been able to offer you the school of your preference
- listed the school on your application form
