Students at NSWL are offered the opportunity to take individual peri lessons on a wide range of instruments. Peri lessons are delivered by visiting instrument teachers from Hounslow Music Service, with lessons currently being offered on the following instruments:

• Vocals
• Violin
• Piano
• Guitar
• Flute
• Drums

Students taking peri lessons receive 10 weekly lessons per term. Each lesson lasts for 20 minutes, and lessons take place during normal class time (students will leave one of their subject lessons for 20 minutes each week to attend the instrument lesson).

The cost for peri lessons is £140 per term (£14 per lesson). The cost for Pupil Premium students is subsidised by the school by 50%. Lesson payments are normally due before the end of the previous term, and the deadline for this is communicated to parents through MCAS/text message.

Timetables and any notices regarding peri lessons are communicated to primary students through their class teacher and to secondary students in tutor time through the pastoral notices. Timetables for current students are also posted on the noticeboard outside the Music room.

Please note that places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and students may be placed on a waiting list if spaces are not currently available.
