NSWL Results 2024-2025

We are extremely pleased to provide our parents with a snapshot of our successes in 2024-25. Please see below a selection of the exam outcomes for students in 2024-25:

EYFS and Year 1 Phonics

80% of Reception pupils achieved a Good Level of Development (GLD), which is 13% above the national average of 67%.

An impressive 96% of Year 1 pupils reached the expected standard in the phonics screening check which is well above the national average of 80%.

KS2 SATs Results – Exceptional Outcomes

95% of Year 6 pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, well above the national figure of 61% and 36% of pupils attained greater depth, placing us in the top 1% of schools nationally.

GCSE Results – Outstanding Student Success

Our Year 11 students have once again excelled, with results that place them well above national averages.

High Grades (9–7):

  • 35% of students achieved Grades 9–7 in both English and Maths, well above the national average of around 22%.
  • 53% of students achieved a Grade 7 or higher in English and 45% in Maths – more than double national outcomes.
  • Remarkably, 29 students (a quarter of the cohort) achieved exclusively Grades 9–7 across all of their GCSE subjects. This places them amongst the very highest achievers nationally, demonstrating exceptional consistency and commitment. Particular congratulations go out to Karam who secured Gade 9s in all his GCSEs.

Subject Highlights:
Many departments secured exceptional outcomes, particular highlights include:

  • Biology, Chemistry, and Physics – over 90% of grades at 9–7 across all three sciences.
  • Sociology – 69% at 9–7.
  • Business Studies – 68% at 9–7.
  • History – 59% at 9–7.
  • Computer Science – 56% at 9–7.

Year 10 Early Entry RE cohort:

Over 50% of grades awarded to our Year 10 GCSE RE students were grades 9-7.

A-level Results

Our Sixth Form students also secured an impressive set of A-level results, with many now progressing to leading universities and highly competitive courses.

Across all A-level entries in 2025, 28.9% of grades were awarded at A–A*, with 10 students achieving exclusively A*/A grades.

  • Further Mathematics – 71% A*–B
  • Chemistry – 67% A*–B
  • English Literature – 58% A*–B
  • History – 56% A*–B
  • Geography – 60% A*–B
  • Mathematics – 51% A*–B
