Homework is a key part of the curriculum at Nishkam School West London. We believe it consolidates and furthers pupils’ learning so that they make outstanding progress not only in their lessons but also in their independent study. Pupils are set a range of tasks with creative and research-based aspects so that they are engaged in their subjects both within and outside the classroom. We have clear evidence from our exam results to date that indicate pupils with the highest attitude to learning scores in homework are the pupils who make the most progress.

Key Stage 3 Homework Expectations

Pupils can expect to receive 30-60 minutes per subject per week in Key Stage 3.

Homework timetables

Here are the current Year 7 and Year 8 timetables. Where pupils have multiple pieces of work set on the same day, they are given reasonable timeframes in which to organise themselves, seek help if required and complete the work.
