Welcome

Welcome to Nishkam School West London, a place of great optimism, purposefulness and calm where pupils not only excel academically but also learn to become compassionate and respectful human beings.

Hopes are set very high for our outstanding-rated all-through school, as we look for our pupils to achieve the very best in preparation for higher education and a life of purpose. Firm foundations have already been laid, with primary results in Key Stage 1 placing the school’s performance in the top 5% for attainment nationally. But even more encouraging for us are the values demonstrated by our pupils in their everyday lives.

  • Happy International Mother Earth Day! Mother Earth Day is a reminder to ourselves that we need a shift to a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet. Today, let's reflect on the virtue of contentment to work towards more sustainable habits in our daily life, promoting harmony with mother nature.

  • Happy International Microvolunteering Day! Microvolunteering Day promotes awareness of the microvolunteering concept and how it can enable worthy causes and individuals to better the world via bite-sized actions. • Happy Vaisakhi to our sikh students and families! Sikhs remember the 5 beloved ones. In 1699 they were the first to volunteer to give up their lives for Guru Gobind Singh Ji's message to always act with virtue, without vice and stand up for the meek. The celebration of Vaisakhi is the commemoration of the creation of the Khalsa for Sikhs. Vaisakhi is celebrated each year to mark the initial initiation ceremony which took place in India in 1699. 5 beloved ones were chosen as part of the first initiation ceremony introduced by the 10th guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

  • Wishing all of our Muslim pupils, staff and families a very happy Ramadan! During the month of Ramadan, Muslims won't eat or drink during the hours of daylight. This is called fasting. Ramadan remembers the month the Qur'an (the Muslim holy book) was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims try to give up bad habits during Ramadan. It is a time for prayer and good deeds. They will try to spend time with family and friends and help people in need. Many Muslims will attempt to read the whole of the Qur'an at least once during Ramadan. They will also attend special services in Mosques during which the Qur'an is read.

  • Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers and carers who make every day special! Pupils celebrated honouring the mother of the family as well as motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. A mother's love is comparable to the love of God. Mothers are wise leaders in our lives, who nurture, inspire, and encourage us to the best versions of ourselves.

  • Happy International Women's Day! Today we celebrate the strength, wisdom and faith of women, both in present day and throughout history. Let us use this as an opportunity to show our gratitude to the women in our life and to reflect on the qualities and virtues we are inspired by in the women we admire.
